Hello everyone:

I am considering buying my first airplane and looking at this one (I live in Canada):

http://www.andersonaviation.ca/storage.html

Some background info from the seller, price now $30K CDN (~$22K USD):

-The aircraft was put into OM (Owner Maintainance - we have this here in Canada) category by the current owner in 2005. He has owned the plane since 1999.
-The owner is selling the aircraft due to health issue. He stopped flying in the fall of 2014.
-Our record show no indication of the aircraft being in a flight school.
-The aircraft is equipped with a single iCom A200
-The aircraft was hangared until August of 2014 when the hangar the aircraft lived in was taken down (land lease expired). As there are no other hangars on the filed the owner parked the aircraft on the paved ramp. The owner purchased a new cabin cover for the aircraft and has used it since it left the hangar.
-There is no evidence of corrosion and the aircraft has been AFC-50 treated. After installation of the new propeller in Sept 2014 the owner decided to stop flying and the engine was inhibited at that time with dehydrator plugs installed.
-At 119.4 hrs ago (2003) the engine was removed. The bottom end was sent to Reliable Horsepower in Kitchener for overhaul. The cylinders were removed and gone over by the shop that removed the engine. The engine was then reassembled and reinstalled. Although this work was to the same extend as a major overhaul it was not zero timed. Why it was done this way I can’t say. It happened before I became associated with the aircraft.
-I have attached log book scans of the engine work.
-The aircraft is inhibited with aeroshell Fluid 2F which is a 5 hr fly away oil. With very little work it can be brought up to flight status if need be.

That's it so far -- any comments?

Thanks in advance.

Chris
