I have done a few of these now. It certainly is not anywhere near as time consuming as the suggested time allowed in the write up. I sure do like the idea of using the double wrap safety wire as opposed to the little clips the factory used. Not part of the AD, but if a turnbuckle did fail those clips would be laying in the wreckage somewhere... where a good safety wire job might actually allow you to have control still.

This has sort of inspired me to do all the control cable turnbuckles (at least on my plane) to eliminate the clips...
