Finally got my new Commander-114 home as its been 5 weeks since I bought it and kept canceling the trip from Michigan to Massachusetts due to weather, if it was good in MI was really bad in MA, nice in Ma bad in MI and when both MA and MI were nice Buffalo and Niagara Falls were horrible and flying a long distance in winter is tough to do in any GA plane and finally made it home Sunday.

Weather was tough and departed VFR from Three Rivers MI KHAI and filed a flight plan for the trip and had to activate it in in Canada over Lake St Clair and started to pick up some rim ice and landed in Buffalo with some snow to refuel, and launched again and finally brought it home.

I know this is a Piper Forum and have learned a lot from everyone on this site and moving up now from my 82 Archer to the Commander-114 which is like a fat Archer/Arrow and very nice roomy cabin 2-door and decent speed, comfort and nice easy handling all around, and very good safety record too. I have had both the Arrow and Commander on my short list for a while looking to move up to a complex and high performance plane and nice to get her home finally.
