This is brand new information, from Sun n Fun.
In areas where you may be required to have diversity (top & bottom antennas) for ADS-B compliance, there is an interesting new product that may save you quite a bit compared to tearing up your cabin to run wiring, and installing a new diversity compliant transponder.
uAvionix is coming to the rescue of potentially beleaguered Cdn pilots, and any US pilots that may want to fly through, and perhaps others elsewhere in the world.
uAvionix will be releasing a new 1090 ADS-B transponder that will be wingtip mounted, with an antenna facing up & down, to give you diversity. With this you will need to run a physical wire to the panel, but the control head will be a space saving 2-1/4" gauge, nice if you rely on a remote transponder now to make it all fit.
No word on pricing, but I expect they will be following a similar aggressive pricing structure to their innovative wireless wingtip 978 solutions.
