I apologize for the likely dumb question but I am looking at updating the NAV data on my 530W. I had my 530 upgraded to WAAS just under a year ago. I'm not currently IFR rated and haven't done much IFR training yet... so haven't had much need to update the data. That will hopefully change soon as I plan to really start putting the flight time in.
Anyway, I want to assume that the WAAS upgrade included a 1 year subscription to the data (or maybe it was just a single time update???) Anway, I got on the Garmin website and am trying to register the 530W. It's asking for the serial #. I can't find the serial # anywhere in all the papers I got from the avionics shop. Does anyone know where I can or should be able to find the serial number without pulling the box and physically looking at the sticker.
Since it's approaching a year since the upgrade I thought it might be a good time to do the update if a year subscription was included.
I know I should have done this in the beginning but I guess better late than never.
