A friend is having trouble with the Mode C. Avionics shop replaced the old unit. She's still having issues. Shop tells her "He said that a Mode C takes about 5 minutes to boot up and become active after it is powered up." I never heard of such an issue. I told her maybe this guy is still living in the vacuum tube world. What do you all think?
