I have a MAC 1700 as my number one nav/comm and am having issue with the display intermittently getting garbled like showing all 8's and 0's. This does not affect the communication and I can push the SPCH button to make sure I am still on the correct frequency. The display does not stay that way for long but is annoying. Any ideas on repairs if anybody still services them or am I better off to get a different radio? Would much rather spend my money on a different upgrade at this point but also want things working the way they should. Upgrading to GPS/NAV/COM is out of the question at this time, still getting the boss (wife) comfortable with owning a plane :)
