Loss of GS guidance - GNC255 w/ GI275

Avionics/radio gurus:

GNC255 with a GI275. Tracks a VOR fine. Sees the localizer fine. Picks up the glideslope, seemingly OK.
However, once you are *centered* on the GS, the GS guidance bar goes away.
There is no loss of GS flag - just the line disappears. Tried a new antenna, balun and cable with no change.
Tested with a ramp radio check box and it works *perfectly* on all deflections for LOC, VOR and GS. It only fails on a real ILS. Tested it on 3 different ILS with no change.
Oddly, on one ILS it indicated correctly on the back course as a departure!
Both local shops I spoke with suggested replacing all the brand new components, rather than troubleshooting. LOL
It is worth noting that the GNC255 and GI275 were installed to replace a Narco Mk12 and Terra TriNav which also seemed to have no GS.
