Group,

I'm looking for some good advice here. I have a 1979 PA-28-181 (Archer II) with an LED light on the right wing and an AML Q4509 sealed beam on the left wing. Since July I have replaced 3 bulbs on the left wing. I don't think I have left the landing/taxi lights on for more than 5 minutes on each night landing. I checked the wiring and do not see any frays. If fact with the last replacement I wrapped the wiring in electrical tape just to maintain the connection. The other night the 3rd replacement bulb went out. I see many comments that say these bulbs will not last more than 10 hours. I find it hard to believe that these bulbs barely last more than 2 months. The question I have is what is a good LED replacement. I've read that the Whelen Parmetheus Plus is a great replacement. Is this a direct replacement for the AML bulb I currently have?

thanks,

Leo
