Help me settle a debate: Leather or Textile seating area.
I'm really struggling on what to order from Airtex for my 260. Right now the interior is blue and grey with worn out textile faced seats. The headliner and overhead vents and stuff are all in awesome shape... but blue tinted. Walls are in decent shape but blue vinyl with worn-out grey textile inserts.
Wife wants a tan, barley, elk like colors with leather seats (since they are easy to clean and we have kids). I would prefer grey seats and I think leather is a terrible idea in a vehicle with no AC. If I go grey I can pretend like the ceiling color is close-enough is my reasoning. I'm already putting over $100k into the avionics... I don't want to replace everything in the interior at the moment if I don't have to (yet).
For those of you with leather seats... your butt is constantly sweating in the summer isn't it? Even when you get up high...still no air circulation. Leather, or even flat vinyl, with no breathability seems like a terrible idea. I suspect most of you are rolling with sheep skin covers and then I'm wondering what's the point of paying extra for the leather then?
Looking for real world experience and feedback here... I'm I worried about nothing?
**BTW, we will be in Florida and the Bahamas a lot.... hot areas are quite common for us***
