Hey all, I'm new here as a member, but have been lurking for some time. I made up my mind some time ago that a Piper is for me. I have been looking at Tri Pacer's in various states of disrepair, because they meet most of my needs, and look slicker then snot on a door knob. However, I've only got 1400' of landing strip, ditch to ditch, no obsticles, all farm land. I realize she'll do it, but is it realistic. I know a Cub would soak it up but its only a seater. And like the rest of us, I'm poor. Any advice from the experienced? Oh and its all crosswind. Head wind I've only got 1000'.

Thanks All.
