I was gifted a KX170b and tray today. This will replace my KX145 which has been a thorn in my side since I got the plane.
The tray does not have a backing plate unfortunately and the geniuses at King, I suppose, didn't think to make the radios swappable.
I looked on Texas Air Salvage for a tray or backing plate and they have them just fine.
What am I looking at here for ease of replacing one tray/backing plate for the other? The mass of wires coming off the 170b backing plate on Texas Air Salvage is a little intimidating.
Cheers
