I have a G4 engine monitor installed in my Cherokee 300. It has never worked right. The display either freezes, goes gray or otherwise malfunctions. The probes all register green so it doesn’t seem to be an issue there. An avionics guy told me the circuit breaker may be installed too close to the ignition key....it’s approximately 2.5 inches away. he also said the power cable needs to be at least 2 inches away per the Insight installation instructions. The manufacturer tried to work with my mechanic to trouble shoot over the phone and sent me a replacement unit but basically gave up after that. It’s been frustrating especially given the overall cost of this. Anyone experienced these types of issues with this unit?
