My 1971 Arrow (IO-360C1C) has consumed 1 quart of oil every 35 hours like clockwork since I bought it in July 2015.

Within the past 9 months however, that has risen from 1qt/35 hours, to 1qt about every 8 hours. I change the oil every 50 hours. Engine runs fine. I don't see any evidence of leaks anywhere on the motor or inside the cowl. There is no excessive oil (more than there ever was before) on the belly of the plane.

I confess I've gotten lazy on the oil analysis - for my first 2.5 years of ownership I did them; they were always normal and didn't show anything. So i dont have a recent one.

Any theories on what's going on, or where I should be looking? I'm getting ready to assist with the annual this weekend. Of course we'll be looking at the compressions.

Thanks for any advice,
Pete
