IFD540 - yet another feature!

Well, this is way cool. The upcoming Avidyne IFD540, in concert with its improved VNav programability (multiple restrictions), will have at release the so-called "Boeing Banana" function!

If you are not familiar with that, that is a visual VNav alerting, that marks on an MFD screen a 20 deg arc ahead, to indicate where (given the current rate of descent/ascent) you would cross the next altitude restriction!

Incredibly useful for climbs and descents, and even non-precision approaches.
