Been meaning to do this for some time now. Used a two part black gloss urethane after sand blasting the fin clean.

It works GREAT! Although a little hard to see in this blown up pic, to the eye it was very easy to detect this tiny amount of icing. There was trace to light icing on the wings, during the climb through the deck.

Lower deck was overcast to scattered, with some -SN below it. It was a lovely day to go flying.
