Wondering if anyone has experience testing a hot plate on the bench? It gets warm in spots when powered up on the plane but I'm not 100% sure it's going to work properly this year. Would be great to not find out on the first time I fly it in ice this year. (Based in the Northeast so ice is a probability) My home field has a narrow runway so working windshield deice is sort of critical.

I was thinking of using a digital pyrometer with it powered up just not sure what readings to expect and where. Any experience is appreciated. It's a 28 volt unit.

On another note I have a spare 12 volt plate from my parts plane that I'd like to sell or swap for a 28volt unit.
