My GTN650 makes an aural call out at "500 feet". I'm not quite sure I remember at which upgrade this came in and I don't think I made any setting adjustment one way or the other to enable it. But my buddy is also flying a GTN650 with the same software version and does not receive the call out. Can anyone advise why this might be? Is there a setting somewhere to adjust? Does this possibly have any requirement for having an up-to-date terrain database (which I think he may not have)? I'm trying to help him set it up so he also gets the alert.

GTN 650 500 foot aural call out?
