I just had my GS bench tested because I could not capture the GS on the ILS. It came back faulty so I bought a rebuilt GS receiver KN-75 from a good shop and the unit was certified. I put the unit it and once again the GS would not capture and the GS flag was there. That is problem one, but the new issue is prior to the replacement being put in, I could capture the LOC and have the AP fly it in. Now it will not capture the LOC on the AP. To me this is not right as the KN-75 is independent of the LOC so should not affect the AP inputs. The LOC does capture but no GS and now know AP coupling. Any thoughts beside find a really good avionics shop?
