The updates continue. Every time Foreflight comes out with a new version, I expect Garmin to follow shortly. This is great for everyone, as long as they keep trying to one up each other, we all win, no matter which one we use.
Major additions this version for Garmin is a track up option, added the AF/D for airports, some improvements in flight planning (although FF is still easier to use IMHO for planning), trip syncing, which is only a big deal if you are using it on multiple devices (or want a backup), the ability to make notes on charts. The biggest deal is a new kind of map. In addition to the scanned charts, they have their own VFR and IFR maps now that are not scanned. Biggest improvement with these is they are clear (no fuzziness I sometimes see in the scanned charts), less cluttered, and the labels, airports, VOR's, Airways, etc. are much easier to see and select. They are highly configurable so you can include/exclude items based on what you like to see on the chart.
