I recently bought into a 1981 PA32R-301 which has a GTN750/650/G500. We updated the software in the 750/650 to 6.51 and the G500 7.37. One of the nice upgrades in the 750 is the incorporation of altitude constraints. These constraints are suppose to be shown on the G500 and the G500 will give vertical guidance on legs. It's well described in the manual and works on the simulator. Below is a pic from the simulator showing how it should look. The two red circles show the altitude constraint (top) and vertical guidance (bottom).

When we got the plane back after the update, all worked right on the 750 but it was not displaying on the G500. I spoke to Garmin and they said "the shop just has to change a switch". We went back to the shop, and to their credit, they spend over an hour on the phone with Garmin trying to figure it out. There is no way to test it on the ground, so I had to try it on the way back to my home airport. Unfortunately it did not display as it should on the G500 (again it's working as it should on the 750). The shop said to bring it back and they would work on it again (again credit to them for not giving up and more importantly not charging me!).

I figured I'd throw this out there and see if anyone has had a similar problem or any ideas (other than change the switch!) before I go back to the shop.

Thanks in advance
