Hey everyone,

I have a question regarding the new Garmin G5 with regards to legacy integration.

I have a simple panel in my Aztec

Basic 6 panel layout

-> Airspeed Attitude Altitude Com1 Vor
-> Stec turn co DG VSI. Com2. Vor

Radio stack is garmin 340 audio panel, 430w, sl30, 327 gtx, narco adf

I have an old fashioned dg with heading bug and the turn coordinator drives my Stec 50 autopilot. I also have gpss roll steering off the 430w

My question is, with the above installed will the G5 accept course deviation information from the 430w and give a "poor mans" flight director

(Basically wondering if the Cdi and glide slope information is overlaid on the G5)

I understand it is not an hsi instrument. Just curious what if any information is passed to it from a 430w

Other than that the benefits I would gain is an ahars primary attitude indicator, backup speed (ground speed), backup altitude, backup slip indicator...
