So it’s time to replace the AI in our club archer. We’ve decided to go with a single G5 as that’s all our budget will allow.

We have a Piper Autocontrol iiib that is INOP. We’ve tried to do minor trouble shooting with it, but haven’t had any success. We don’t want to throw good money after bad, so we’re not going to repair it. Eventually we’ll go to a digital autopilot.

That being said, the AI may be the issue with the ap not working. Who knows?

I know we need the Gad 29 to interface with an ap, but will we also need a magnetometer? I’m wondering how much this will increase install costs if we need the magnetometer.

Lastly, where’s the best place to get a G5 price wise?
