Fuel Gauge Needs A Tap to Work...

One of my fuel gauges sometimes needs a slight tap on the screen for it to display fuel level once I turn the master on. Seems to work fine other than that. Any tips on what the issue may be of where to start troubleshooting this?

The other gauge seems to indicate too high a level so guessing it needs to be calibrated/adjusted. Is this something an a&p can do or does it require OH the gauge or new one?
