Only had my ticket for a couple months. I want to fly my wife and I from SCK to SAN on Thanksgiving. (Returning the following Sunday, weather permitting.) I really want to fly into San Diego International, but I've never flown into a Class Bravo airport. (I've flown bravo airspace a few times doing the SF Bay tour.) I have done a few trips into Charlie airports.
Part of the reason I want to fly into SAN is because all the planes and such will help to impress the wife, and help convince her that flying in our own plane is the way to go. (When we flew into FAT and had F-15s landing next to us, she was blown away.)
I was thinking to prepare I would practice high speed approaches at my home field (10,000 ft runway). Maybe descend at 140ish KIAS, reduce power 1.5 nm out and then land per usual.

Any suggestions, experiences etc... would be appreciated.
