Hi all -

Looking for advice on whether to install a JPI 730 vs 830 on a 2002 Saratoga ii tc. I'm doing JPI because I think I want JPI, and more importantly that is what the A&P recommends and is comfortable installing.

I just bought the plane, and will be immediately overhauling the engine (knew this before buying!), and have not yet flown it.

I think i want the fuel flow, MAP and RPMs right on the JPI. However, the A&P thinks I should do 730 and add TIT to it. The plane does have the Digitial Display Monitoring Panel (DDMP), which shows MAP, RPM and fuel flow already.

My rationale for wanting the 830 is this:
1. Newly OH engine. I plan to keep all the logs from day 1 until I sell it, so the buyer can see how it's been run (unless I screw up in which case I'll burn the logs!! :) )
2. I'd rather have everything on the 830, and end up not wanting it, than not having it on the 730 and wanting it.

Any thoughts on this, be they from a usability, installation, or value perspective?

DDMP shown at top of gauges in case you were wondering what a DDMP looks like.

Thanks
Kris
