Back in the past, I recall someone saying that there was a prototype of what might be described as a Dakota 260. I'm guessing that the name, had it gone into production, would have been different. I'd love to know more or see pics if available, about this plane if someone has any information. Piper has produced some interesting prototypes, such as the Twin Comanche 290 (my name for the 290 hp concept) and the Pocono. Shame that they didn't see the production line.
