Cherokee 6/300 vs Saratoga vs 6X/XT vs Lance

The big haulers - I've been looking at these and it seems to me that the original Cherokee 6/300 has the best useful load (full fuel payload) but quite a wide margin. There's a big gap in FF payload between the Saratoga and the Cherokee, and the retractables it's even more pronounced. If you look at the 2000's era 6X/XT they really don't compare either.

What's the advantage of a Saratoga over a 6/300?
