Cell phone switch

With winter approaching, I am a rookie in regards to cell phone switches as there appears to be limited number on the market from $190 - 299. I did not find a previous thread for this topic in regards to reliability, one output vs. more with watts from 1000-1800 and cellular monthly fees that they say can be as low as $3/month up to $30. What is the real truth versus stopping by hanger night before?
