Has anyone mounted a remote battery tender connection for a rear mounted battery box that is outside the cabin? I was originally going to mount my fast connector just to the back hat shelf fiberglass so i dont have to open the back hatch and battery box every time i want to hook up the battery tender. I bought the kit from battery minder. However i still need to route an extension cord through the pilots window and then run to the back to plug in which is quite a pain.

Had anyone come up with a better option? I am ok maybe with being in front baggage compartment but a little worried about effectiveness with wire runs that long. I am in a shared hanger so security is a concern.
