When I bought my 73 Challenger, I wasn't sure how much id fly single pilot IFR. I usually try to fly VFR, since I'm not equipped with an approved GPS system and prefer direct routing. When I must file, it's nearly always IMC. I only have a single vac pump, with the precise flight backup system. I don't have a clue how well the backup system works and to be honest, I don't trust it. I also use the stratus 2s with backup attitude for reference. In my flying career I have already had a vac failure in IMC, and it's not something I'd like to happen again....
So, what are you guys using for back up attitudes? On spruce and chief there are a ton to choose from! What can I expect on install costs?

Thanks,
J
