Aztec Yoke Restoration

I am restoring the control wheel yokes on my Aztec. The yokes are attached to the shaft with a roll pin. I have tried to utilize a pair of vice-grips to get the roll pin out to no avail.
Has anyone been successful in roll pin removal and by what method?
