My aztec being a D model has the par 46 in the nose and the taxi par 36 on the nose wheel, has anyone ever seen or done something different? I hate having all my eggs in one basket, par 36 bulbs at best are fine for my tractor at night.
The par 46 seems much better, I have zero interest in hid bulbs, I've been in the dive industry for 15 years, hid came and went bulbs are rediculously bright however terribly fragile, a good wack, and the inner tube cracks the gas is lost, and all you see is it arcing trying to light but it's toast. Not to mention hid bulbs are expensive to replace usually $200 or more. Plus install yada yada yada... Also if it craps out at an airfield even in he daytime, you can't just snag a par 36 and fly it home due to it being a balest controlled light.
I've already upgraded to led, have aeroled par 46 in the nose, and their par 36 landing light on the nose wheel
But I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a dual landing light bracket setup on the nose wheel, like a navajo
Or a wing mounted light setup
I've got metco tips and tanks so changing a wingtip isn't gonna work for me...
