I have a Cherokee Six (1968) with the Autocontrol III AP. When I engage the wing leveler, it holds level for a very brief period of time then starts banking to the right. The heading function does not seem to work at all.

I found an Autocontrol IIIB from a 1978 Cherokee Six. Would the panel/control unit from this be a plug and play that I could just slide in? If so, what are the chances that will cure my problem?
