Audio problem

KY196 and PMA 7000 audio panel. No audio is detectable except static when the squelch is pulled. ATC can hear transmissions but no audio is received. The KY196 was re-racked to no affect; then bench-checked and pronounced meeting specs. The audio panel works fine (#1 comm, nav audio, intercom, etc.)

Any ideas about how to troubleshoot this problem?
