My Cherokee 180 has a GTN 650 and a Century 1 autoflight II that tracks the Nav very well.

I would like opinions on what would be the best choice.

Dual G5's - I could remove the vacuum system. I would need to keep the
GI-106 indicator for my autopilot to receive a nav signal.

Aspen VFR - I would have to keep the AI/vacuumfor backup and the GI-106 for glideslope/vnav I like the moving map and expanded compass rose feature.

I have a avidyne axp340 ads-b out transponder and use a Stratus iis with foreflight for ads-b in. I would have installed a Garmin 345 if it would have been out when my Narco died.

My concern is that the G5's may one day be given more functionality with a autopilot/flight director. I was also thinking about installing one G5 for now. I was quoted around $500 for the single install.

Thoughts?
