My old mechanic decided he didn't want to do the annual on my Aztec this year. Took it to another recommended shop not too far away. To make a long story short, they found some AD's that we're not complied with. I have had the plane for seven years and two of these AD's were from before I purchased the plane. Questions: Can I be held responsible even though the mechanic signed off on all AD's? Can I go back and sue the mechanic, these AD's cost about $10k. He did the annual as part of the purchase.
