Has anyone with a Cherokee or Archer placed their GFC500 autopilot in a location other than the standard left knee position on the panel?

The reason I ask is because I would like the panel to be able to be used as an emergency device for a passenger in case of pilot incapacitation. It's not autoload but I am in my 70s and I think about such things. The TruTrak really solves that problem (blue button?) since I could put it in one of the instrument holes by the pilot's right knee but the GFC500 provides a few more options that might make it bit more of a lifesaving device.
