A bit of background before the questions. I'll be brief...
Have plenty of dual instruction and solo time. Got all my requirements. Got all my endorsements. Was all signed off, endorsed, you name it, and went to do my check ride in mid July only to discover that I had to do a medical flight test first.
Went to do the medical flight test, and the FAA inspector found a few things my IA missed at annual in June. I have to get them resolved now and reschedule my medical flight test.
I'm not terribly happy, and I'm considering taking my plane elsewhere for the repairs IF it appears that the previous shop isn't moving fast enough to resolve the issues. (The jury is still out on that one.)
FYI: The shop is at the airport where I originally trained, 30 minutes from home. I got signed off to keep my plane at my home airport, 10 minutes away.
So I have 3 questions, all of which I can't seem to get concrete answers on from either the FAA or AOPA.
1) If I take my practical in, say, late September, do I need new endorsements from my instructor, or are the original ones from July 16 still good?
2) If I need new endorsements, can I go and fly with a different instructor (say, one from my home airport) until they feel comfortable and get new endorsements for the practical from that instructor?
3) When I go to take my practical, do I have to file a new IACRA application, or use the original, or possibly update it?
I appreciate any insight you guys can throw my way. I don't want to make a bad decision that will delay getting my license yet again. I'm getting bored flying around the same 25nm radius!
