I took off from Triple Tree after a long 39 minute idling and wait for clearance. Outside temp was 95*, I was very light (and thank goodness). The 2200 RPM vs min of 2300 RPM for static was not noticed by me due to the rolling takeoff. I recieved a slight vibration and and running rich after about 50ft into the air. Power restored after about 30 seconds, and the engine ran fine. After an inspection, we found two fouled plugs, one more than the other. Has anyone experienced this on takeoff while in the air. Also, my EDM is the most accurate instrument for RPMs. What is everyone elses normal static RPMs during a full power takeoff. I usually see 2300+RPMs. O-360 180hp here. I will never idle that long again waiting for T/O. Any SUNnFUN or OSH guys experience problems on takeoff after long wait at idle? On run-up, I had to clear out the plugs, they checked out fine after my test. Looking for some experiences and advice. If you only have an ANALOG RPM gauge would you really notice a drop of 50-100RPM on takeoff?
