Oh, sorry about the mis-interpretation.

I visited my wife's native country of Peru. We were in a restaurant when a filthy little girl came in and asked if we wanted to buy some candy. The restaurant owner tried to shoe the girl out of the place, but my wife would hear nothing of it. She gave the filthy little girl some money, but didn't take the candy. My wife had tears in her eyes as the filthy little girl left. When I asked her about it, she told me that when my wife was the filthy little girl's age, she was out on the streets selling candy, cigarettes, or whatever people would buy, so she could bring money home to buy food.

I don't feel that I'm more entitled to a job, housing, or medicine, simply because I was born on the correct side of some imaginary line.
