I'm looking to do a panel update this winter with a new Aspen and get ADS-B. Likely going with the GDL-88. However, I currently have a GDL-69 XM that I display on my GMX-200. Talking with my installer, and he said the resolution on the ADS-B weather isn't as good as XM. I'm adding a FS210 so I could add the XM to Garmin Pilot on the iPad as well. Also, the XM boxes are going for next to nothing on the used market, so it might not be worth removing if I don't mind the monthly fee. I'm just trying to figure out whether to remove the XM, or keep it. Has anyone replaced their XM with ADS-B or added ADS-B and kept their XM?
