We had our first snow earlier this week. It didn't last long, and I don't expect to see much staying on the ground until into December, but it still felt like a good day to winterise the plane. So ... oil cooler winterisation plate in, wheel fairings off, engine heater plugged in, and wing/stabilator covers out of storage (even before snow, they're useful for preventing morning frost). I have a new prop cover on order from AeroCovers. By coincidence, you can also see the airport snowplows ready to go in the background of the photo.

I'll allow 30 seconds for the people from the southern U.S. to boast about their weather ...

... OK, glad you got that out of your systems. I'll just enjoy my 1,500 fpm climb in a 160 hp PA-28 as long as it stays chilly out. :)
