Would somebody with a Cherokee 180 O360-A4A please verify that the winterization plate is right behind the #3 cylinder standing vertically? There is another location at the exit point of the oil cooler that also matches the winterization plate perfectly.

I guess either location would work, the one behind the cylinder would completely block off air but it would also cutoff cooling air directed toward the right mag.

Putting the plate aft of the oil cooler would create somewhat of a back pressure in the oil cooler hose and that would have a similar effect on blocking the oil cooling air? Maybe this is what they are referring to in the shop manual as the plate storage location??

I couldn't tell exactly from the shop manual the correct location.

Thanks
