wing skin patch

I guess this is topical, given a few other threads.

I noticed two tiny wing skin cracks, at adjacent rivets, on top of the wing, one foot outboard on the port side. They may well have been present for some time, as they are not very easy to see -- I noticed them when I was waxing the plane. Yes, all was immediately checked out underneath, no issues.

I have been waiting to get the local uber-mechanic, a real artist with metal and welding and most everything else, to fix it. He is in high demand. Been a few months, but no change to the cracks in that time. IAC, here is what it looks like ..

He decided to make one larger patch, to cover both. Here we are during the "surgery" ...

All complete, but for the paint. He said it was easy-peasy. Looks like it belongs.
