Where are you guys placing your headsets when getting in and out of a PA-28?

I was thinking of maybe installing some kind of hook below the instrument panel for the copilot side. On the pilot side, I typically leave it on the left side of the seat and then place it on my lap when I get in.

I was always told not to place it on the glare shield to avoid scratching the windshield. I don't like it on the yolk or throttle because it can cause damage there too.
