I am having issues with my ammeter indicating high. In a discussion with a friend we discovered something weird. He has a 76 Arrow II with an IO-360, plane power alternator and Zeftronics voltage regulator. I have a 73 Challenger with a O-360, plane power alternator and Zeftronics voltage regulator. We both a JPI EDM 700s. His JPI indicates his voltage at 13.2 while mine has always been at 14.1. Is this normal? Is his low or is mine high or is it normal to have this much difference between the 2? He has never had any issues starting the plane.

Does the 14.1 have anything to do with my high current reading. With everything off other than the master, my ammeter indicates about 30 amps. I am in the process of having the master switch replaced.
