I'm a believer it's helpful to look over accidents and keep some factors in mind to avoid a similar chain. What seems clear with hindsight can be murky on the front end flying forward, others more obvious.
This 'Vectors for Safety' comes out once a month and usually profiles two accidents, with a few other items thrown in. Information included are nice reminders for new pilots and the old salts. Here's a link to check out and sign up if interested.
