I have a 1971 pa28-180 and just had our annual done. It took almost 6 weeks waiting for new trim cables, anyway when we went to do the run up the heading indicator just spun like a top, it would slow down and then spin the other way. We tried stopping it with the adjustment knob but to no avail. Tried again a couple of hours later but it still just spun around.
Anyone ever have this happen or know what might be the cause. We had the vacuum pump replaced in September.

Thanks
