I have a 1998 PA-32R. Last fall during a flight, the vacuum pump failed. I received a vacuum alarm on the DDMP screen along with the audible repeating alert tone and an caution light. I turned on the standby pump, the alerts cleared and I completed the flight. The next week, I had the vacuum pump replaced.

All is good except that when I turn on the master switch, something is still causing the vacuum alarm to activate on the DDMP with the repeating alert tone. I suspect a relay or a value wasn't reset after the new pump was installed. Normal operation would not throw an audible warning simply with the master switch on.

Any thoughts on what needs attention?
